Phil Elverum sang an a capella music and browse a number of poems for the most recent episode of the NTS Radio present Plastic Language. Elverum wrote the lyrics for a future Mount Eerie launch and recorded them in west London’s Holland Park between tour dates within the metropolis final month. The a capella “Night time Palace” opens the episode; at 23:05, Elverum muses on whether or not music and poetry are distinct and segues right into a poem known as “Co-Proprietor of Timber”; and at 50:46, he reads and sings a poem he introduces as “Unnamed.” Pay attention at NTS or under.
Action Pyramid made the recordings. This January, Mount Eerie shared a brand new music known as “Huge Fire,” and Elverum introduced in April that a new album is within the works. His final full-length was the Microphones’ Microphones in 2020.
