Justified’s Raylan Givens returned to FX with Justified: Primeval Metropolis this week, however the sequel sequence is lacking a key character from the unique sequence. Walton Goggins didn’t revive his character of Boyd Crowder – the childhood buddy of Raylan, performed by Timothy Olyphant.
Justified: Primeval City picks up 15 years after Justified, with Givens now dwelling in Miami and elevating his daughter. An opportunity encounter takes him to Detroit on the hunt for a killer. Aunjanue Ellis, Vondie Curtis Corridor, Adelaide Clemens, Marin Eire, Victor Williams, Norbert Leo Butz, and Boyd Holbrook additionally star within the sequence.
Goggins not too long ago addressed his not returning for the FX sequel sequence, per The Wrap. He indicated his absence from the challenge wasn’t “one-sided.”
“There’s a season, sort of, for all the things. … This isn’t the fitting place and time. … However I can’t wait to see it, and I can’t wait to see Raylan Givens once more. Tim [Olyphant] is such a beautiful actor and Boyd Holbrook — I like him. I’ll be there. I’ll be watching it to the bitter finish.”
Goggin’s Boyd Crowder character was a childhood buddy of Raylan’s. Whereas Raylan turned a deputy US Marshall, Boyd turned a profession prison with many ups and downs. By the top of the unique Justified, he had ended up in jail and have become a born-again Christian once more and a pastor.
