Irreversible Entanglements have signed to stalwart jazz label Impulse! for a brand new album, Shield Your Gentle. The free-jazz quintet—of Moor Mom, bassist Luke Stewart, trumpeter Aquiles Navarro, saxophonist Keir Neuringer, and drummer Tcheser Holmes—has previewed the file with “Free Love,” which they name a “common message that provokes unity by way of a love that lives free, the love that lives in you.” Hearken to it under, and scroll down for the album artwork.
The band recorded the Open the Gates follow-up at Rudy Van Gelder Studios in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, the birthplace of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme amongst different traditional recordings.
