Central Scotland’s main arts venue, Macrobert Arts Centre is delighted to announce Ed Robson as its new Artistic Director and CEO. Arts advisor, Lucy Mason is Interim Director till Ed takes up his place in May.
Ed Robson stated: ”It’s a terrific time to be becoming a member of the group at Macrobert Arts Centre. Following on from Julie Ellen’s implausible management, I’m trying ahead to getting some particular reveals onstage, seeing some nice neighborhood tasks come to life throughout the City in addition to creating one or two new initiatives which can take advantage of our distinctive relationship with the University of Stirling.”

Ed was Artistic Director and CEO at Cumbernauld Theatre till 2019, the place throughout his 12-year tenure, he led a notable interval of creative progress for the corporate, efficiently delivered a serious capital redevelopment of the theatre and received many coveted awards together with an Edinburgh Festival Fringe First and a Lustrom Award. Originally from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, Ed Robson educated at Bretton Hall earlier than becoming a member of Birmingham Rep as Assistant Director – a part of the Regional Theatre Young Director Scheme. After working in industrial theatre in London, he later grew to become Associate Director at Northern Stage Ensemble.
