The fundraiser’s costume code this 12 months is “The Garden of Time,” which has led to many botanical interpretations from a bevy of celebrities, together with musicians, actors, and designers.
The 2024 Met Gala celebrates the Costume Institute’s new exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” which incorporates 250 clothes and equipment spanning 4 centuries as a way to “examine the cyclical themes of rebirth and renewal,” per the museum.
