Scottish Ballet dancers rehearsing of their studio in Glasgow because the residents of Salem in The Crucible, which opens subsequent week at His Majesty’s Theatre Aberdeen, earlier than touring to Edinburgh and Glasgow.

In a spring season that has already seen two main Arthur Miller productions on UK levels (Death of A Salesman and A View From A Bridge) and an upcoming run of The Crucible at Shakespeare’s Globe, this award-winning dance adaptation of Miller’s masterpiece unleashes the total emotional pressure of the story as a story ballet. Choreographed by Helen Pickett, the bewitching work returns to Scotland’s levels for the primary time since its premiere in 2019, and after thrilling audiences in London and the US. A darkish and strikingly trendy manufacturing, Scottish Ballet’s The Crucible has been described by critics as a ‘ballet for our times’.
