This first time pawrent hoped a furry buddy would carry consolation and calm, however two weeks in, issues are much less purrfect companion and extra clingy chaos. Instead of the impartial cat she dreamed of, she adopted a sweet however critically needy velcro kitty who’s turned her house right into a 24/7 meow marathon. Between fixed meowing, tailing, fur all over the place, and overstimulation, she’s realizing this may occasionally have been a catastrophic mismatch.
Despite being open with the rescue about her struggles, she looks like her issues had been dismissed with the traditional “just give it time” fluff. But not each adoption ends in a fairytail and that is okay! She’s planning to return the kitty (with a heavy coronary heart) and hopes to quietly reclaim her peace, her pillows, and her naps with out judgment.
Honestly? We get it. Sometimes the mews you want is your personal. Loving animals doesn’t suggest it’s a must to stay with one, and realizing your limits is pawsitively accountable. Here’s to each human and kitty discovering better-fitting homes for their needs. No disgrace in realizing when to say meowt!
