On June 9, Lana Del Rey’s father, Rob Grant, is releasing his debut album, Lost at Sea. At the moment, Grant and his daughter have launched the brand new LP’s title track. Hearken to “Lost at Sea” beneath.
Rob Grant performs piano throughout Misplaced at Sea, and, in response to press releases, he has no formal musical coaching and can’t learn sheet music. “However when he sits down at a piano, notes move from him,” the promotional copy guarantees.
“Misplaced at Sea,” produced by Luke Howard, is the fifth preview of Grant’s new album, following “Setting Sail on a Distant Horizon,” “The Poetry of Wind and Waves,” “The Mermaids Lullaby,” and “Deep Ocean Swells.” The album closes with a second Lana Del Rey collaboration, “Hollywood Bowl.”
Lana Del Rey’s newest album, Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, features a track known as “Grandfather Please Stand on the Shoulders of My Father While He’s Deep-Sea Fishing.”
