TV present description:
A musical drama sequence, Excessive Faculty Musical: The Musical: The Collection stars Dara Reneé, Frankie A. Rodriguez, Joshua Bassett, Julia Lester, Kate Reinders, Larry Saperstein, Mark St. Cyr, Matt Cornett, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sofia Wylie. The present follows a bunch of drama college students and school members at East Excessive, the Utah highschool the place the unique Excessive Faculty Musical film was filmed.
Ricky (Bassett) is a charismatic teen auditioning for the musical so he can win again the center of his ex-girlfriend, Nini (Rodrigo). She has simply returned from summer season theater camp with a brand new boyfriend – and the identical insecurities that maintain her from proudly owning the highlight. E.J. (Cornett) is Nini’s new beau, and he sees life as a contest with Ricky as his high foe.
Kourtney (Reneé) is Nini’s finest good friend and a fashionista who’s equally obsessive about make-up tutorials and feminism. Ashlyn (Lester) is E.J.’s cousin and an aspiring songwriter. Massive Pink (Saperstein) is Ricky’s finest good friend, a dude who can finest be described as a religious descendant of Invoice and Ted.
Gina (Wylie) is a switch pupil and a diehard theater child with loads of secrets and techniques. Carlos (Rodriguez) is the coed choreographer who has already memorized his Tony Award speech.
Miss Jenn (Reinders) is East Excessive’s supremely spirited drama instructor and he or she’s satisfied that musicals could be lifesavers. Mr. Mazzara (St. Cyr) is East Excessive’s by-the-book S.T.E.M. instructor.
The characters rely down from auditions to opening evening of their faculty’s first-ever manufacturing of Excessive Faculty Musical: The Musical. They’ve budding romances, faltering friendships and harsh rivalries as they expertise the transformative energy that solely highschool theater can present.
