Star Trek: Enterprise could return to the small display. A sequel collection has been within the speaking levels for fairly a while, based on producer Michael Sussman.
Sussman and star Scott Bakula have saved in contact since Enterprise resulted in 2005 after 4 seasons on UPN, and there’s an concept for a sequel. It would observe Bakula’s Jonathan Archer on his subsequent journey as he turned President of the United Federation of Planets.
The concept relies on an episode that confirmed an alternate universe for Archer. In this episode, a graphic confirmed his future life, and in it, he turned President. According to Trek Movie, Sussman mentioned the next about his concept for a sequel:
“It occurred to me that somebody on the writing employees, not the artwork division, wanted to put in writing this graphic. Somebody wanted to consider this, proper? This was going to be a graphic that spelled out Archer’s life and profession after the collection ended.
I even have an concept for a collection, going again to that viewscreen graphic that I planted all these years earlier.”
It’s a political thriller and a household drama set in these chaotic, childhood of the Federation. We did 98 hours of Enterprise and I believe he felt he actually explored that character, however this was a really completely different route for Archer to go in.”
Bakula is on board for the collection, tentatively titled Star Trek United, if it makes it to Paramount+ sooner or later.
